A demanding test of mathematical thinking
The national round challenged participants with multi-step problems in number theory, geometry, combinatorics, and algebra. Unlike routine exercises, each question required competitors to justify their reasoning and communicate a complete solution.
Our students approached the competition by testing patterns, comparing strategies, and revising their proofs when an assumption did not hold. Their results reflect disciplined preparation as well as a willingness to remain curious when the answer was not immediately visible.

Preparation built on collaboration
Weekly enrichment sessions combined individual problem-solving with collaborative discussion. Students were encouraged to explain more than one method, question each other respectfully, and identify which approach was most efficient.
Mathematics teachers provided targeted feedback and curated increasingly challenging tasks, while maintaining a healthy balance between competition preparation, regular coursework, and student wellbeing.
Celebrating progress, not only rankings
Although three students achieved national top-ten placements, the mathematics department recognized every participant who committed to the preparation program. Growth was visible in clearer reasoning, greater confidence, and stronger persistence across the whole group.
